With Red Bull Formula Nürburgring, Formula 1 cars return to the legendary Nordschleife on 9 September. Nationally and internationally renowned stars of motorsport will be taking part. In addition to the already confirmed Formula 1 luminaries Daniel Ricciardo, Sebastian Vettel and youngster Yuki Tsunoda, Gerhard Berger, Ralf Schumacher and Mathias Lauda will expand the line-up on site to present the enthusiastic fans with a show in a class of its own. > Tickets & further information The last Formula 1 race on the legendary Nordschleife was held in 1976, since then only show runs have taken place - the last one more than ten years ago. Now the Formula 1 cars are celebrating their comeback with another show run at one of the most historic venues in motorsport. This show event promises thrilling motorsport and breathtaking shows for the 30,000 spectators expected. With Gerhard Berger, the fans will experience a veteran of Formula 1 up close in his F1 Ferrari: With 210 completed races, ten victories - the last one in 1997 on German soil - and decades of experience, he is still one of the most important experts in the racing circus today. Former racing driver Ralf Schumacher also has an impressive career in Formula 1 behind him with 180 Grand Prix races and six victories. Ralf will take his Williams for a spin around the Nordschleife. Also at the start will be Mathias Lauda, son of three-time world champion Niki Lauda. He will return to the Nordschleife in his father's legendary Ferrari 312, with which Niki once drove the fastest F1 time ever. As confirmed since April, Formula 1 great Daniel Ricciardo, Grand Prix winner and current Alpha Tauri driver, will be at the superlative show event. And another legend has also confirmed his participation: four-time world champion and crowd favourite Sebastian Vettel will take to the start line of the Nordschleife circuit in his e-fuel fuelled world champion's race car RB7 for the unique motorsport festival. The famous Nordschleife, with 73 challenging bends, rapid climbs and descents resulting in an altitude difference of 300 metres per lap, is considered one of the most dangerous and longest race tracks in the world. Opened in 1927, it is still the cradle of countless victories and motorsport dramas. One of the most striking sections of the track is the tricky Caracciola Carousel - a steep curve with rough concrete slabs where pure excitement is guaranteed. Motorsport fans can expect impressive Formula 1 show runs and many other show highlights, and spectators will also have the opportunity to experience the 12h Nürburgring, the highlight of the Nürburgring Endurance Series, at close quarters.
